What is CyberEnvPrefs?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
CyberPrefs is a little Preferences-Editor that sets some of
CyberGraphX environment variables. CyberPrefs runs only from WB
and works with all CyberGraphX versions and AmigaOS V39 and up.
I have used some values that are currently not supported by the
software nor do I know if they ever will, i hope they will, but
for more information you should contact the authors of
CyberGraphX - NOT!
Board area
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Cybergraphics/HIRESCRSR"
"Cybergraphics/CPUC2P"
"Cybergraphics/NOCHIPSCREEN"
"Cybergraphics/HIDE15BIT"
"Cybergraphics/ALERTEMU"
"Cybergraphics/PLANES2FAST"
"Cybergraphics/NOPASSTHROUGH"
"Cybergraphics/KEEPAMIGAVIDEO"
"Cybergraphics/BOOTLOGO"
"Cybergraphics/SAVEMEM"
The display as checkboxes changed for 40.14 to a Listview (since
Frank and Tom keep surprising us with new variables, this would
prevent me from changing the window from release to release). You
select an entry by pointing on it. The value is set if a ">" (in
effect only after a reboot!) or a "*" (immediate effect, changed
on-the-fly!) is displayed in front of it, otherwise it is unset.
If you see a "×" in front of the variable, you are using a version
of CyberPrefs that was designed for a more recent version of
CyberGraphX than the one you use. This varoibale is then not
supported by your software.
A private CyberEnvPrefs variabel is "Cybergraphics/BOARD", this
one holds an ordinal number that identifies the GfxBoard:
picasso 0
spectrum 1
picollo 2
sd64 3
merlin 4 (support for this has been dropped!)
retina2 5 (not yet!)
retina3 6
cv64 7
domino 8
a2410 9 (not yet!)
opalvision 10 (not yet!)
it is set via the cycle-gadget within the board-area.
Monitor area
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Cybergraphics/MONVALUE"
This one holds the lower and the upper bound of your monitors
horizontal scanning frequency.
"Cybergraphics/..Monitor" or "Cybergraphics/CYBERVISION"
SELECT lets you choose the active resoltion definiton monitor
file for the env-variable and INFO (currently disabled) will
show you the resolutions with that file. If a board does not
support resolution files, SELECT is disabled. As is the case
with the DOMINO GfxBoard, where you can't set a Monitor, but
only 31,5 or 57 kHz operating mode.
Software area
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The listview show the version and revision numbers of the your
CybergraphX release. Currently the BoardDriver is not available,
sorry.
Quitting area
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If you press CANCEL, nothing will be changed, regardless if you
done some testing in between. USE will store only temporary in
ENV:, SAVE will store for later use in ENV: and ENVARC:
Versions and supported Variables

Tooltypes
---------------------------------------------------------------------
CYBERVERSION=<release>
CyberGraphX acts a little different from version to version, setting
CYBERVERSION to the current release value will take care of this.
(obsolete, do not use)
OLDDRIVER=<TRUE|FALSE>
If you have a devs:monitor/ driver (if you are registered user,
you probably have) below 1.18 the env:cybergraphics/%sMonitor
variabale may be stored as env:%sMonitor. Setting the tooltype
"OLDDRIVER=TRUE" will take care of this.
Known bugs:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
None, so far, but...
· sometimes you have to push on of the buttons Save/Use/Cancel more
than once for them to react.
· Reading the monitor drivers version is currently not supported.
Legal stuff:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Permission is granted to include this little program on every BBS, CD
or disk PD publication where you also can find the CyberGraphX
distribution. That means all restrictions made there also apply for
this archive, which of course may not be altered! Exception to the rule
is the inclusion within the CyberGraphX distribution.
